Have we given up on it? That’s the question I have.

Is it a losing battle?

The preponderance of ways to disperse information about ourselves seems limitless. Our capacity of understanding exactly the ways our information can be exploited, dispersed and used is limited. Are we supposed to avoid the internet altogether? Surely not. Are we supposed to not submit information? That would compromise one’s experience greatly.

The fact is you probably can’t protect yourself that much by avoiding the internet. Business have databases. Who knows who can hack into whatever given system? There sits your social security number, awaiting compromise.

I googled a guy I wanted to find out some information about the other day. I was able to check out his Amazon wish list. Luckily for him, he had a respectable taste in literature. Who knows what you might get caught wanting?
